Our beautiful wooden iroko swan neck driveway gates are handcrafted to complement traditional and contemporary homes. The tall wooden gates get their namesake from the design of their curved top and the way they curve up at the centre, mimicking the shape of a swan’s neck.
Made to various heights including 4ft, 5ft and 6ft, the solid iroko styles, head and rails will have all its joints mortice and tenoned, plus dowelling for additional strength, offering extreme rigidity, stability and longevity. These gates are truly as resilient as their craftsmanship is beautiful.
All timber is untreated and will require a wood preservative before installation. If you would prefer your new driveway gates to be treated, painted or oiled before they are delivered, please select the options above. We offer different treatment options to match up with the style and character of your home. Our team will ensure that your gates have a finish you can be proud of for many years.
All of our gates are handmade in the UK to exceptional standards, using the highest quality iroko sourced from sustainable sources. The lead time on our iroko gates is 8 weeks from the point of order. This may vary, but our team will keep you in the loop. We also deliver for free, nationwide. (excludes some locations eg Scotland)

- 70mm x 95mm Stiles and Head
- 38mm x 95mm Top Rail, Mid Rail, Bottom Rail and Bracing
- All joints are Mortice & Tenoned plus dowelled for strength
- All Rails and bracing are 9 degreed to shed water off
- 21mm Tongue and groove boards with v-groove (which are glued and secret pinned with stainless pins)
- For 6ft Gates – Height up to the top of the rail is 1800mm at the lowest point, with a decorative horn which is an additional 4″(100mm), plus rise to 350mm.
Bottom rail is set up 100mm for hinge clearance, if you require a visible flush bottom rail please select this option when ordering, the last three drawings on the listing show this. You will require this if the gates are going to be underground automated.
