The Framed, Ledged & Braced, Mortice & Tenoned Softwood Flat Top Side Gate is a great addition for your outdoor space. Please keep in mind that all timber used in this gate is untreated and will need a wood preservative before installation to ensure durability.

When you place an order, you will only receive the Softwood Side Gate itself without any posts or ironwork, unless specifically selected.

The gate comes with specific specifications as mentioned below:

  • Stiles and Top Rail are 70mm x 95mm
  • Mid Rail, Bottom Rail, and Bracing are 38mm x 95mm
  • All joints are Mortice & Tenoned and dowelled for maximum strength
  • Rails and bracing are 9 degreed to shed water off effectively
  • Tongue and groove boards are 21mm thick with v-groove, glued, and secret pinned with stainless pins
  • The total height up to the Top of Rail in the picture is 1800mm, with a Decorative Horn addition of 4″ (100mm).

The bottom rail is set up 100mm for hinge tolerance, if you require a visible flush bottom rail, please select when ordering, the last three photos show what this looks like. Furthermore, the gate can be customised to a specific size upon request. If you need a bespoke size, make sure to order a size slightly larger than what you require and enter your dimensions during the ordering process, in the bespoke size box.
